MLR Class

The Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR) course prepares students for entry into Maintenance and Light Repair II. Students explore career opportunities and requirements of a professional service technician. Content emphasizes beginning transportation service skills and workplace success skills. Students study safety, tools, equipment, shop operations, basic engine fundamentals, and vehicle maintenance skills. Upon completing all of the Maintenance and Light Repair courses, students may enter automotive service industry as an ASE and/or Ford Certified Technician.

All Students should have added missing items from first check to their portfolio. For this check students need to add a reference page to their portfolio. A minimum of three references is required and should include their:
- First and Last Name
- Address
- Phone#
- Email Address
- Relationship (No parents,siblings,grandparents or other close relatives)
- How many years they have known them

As an effort to build student soft skiils and prepare them for the work place this school year all MLR students will be required to purchase and wear a GHS MLR uniform. This uniform will not change so it can be used throughout students time in course. We will promote workplace awareness every Wednesday as part of our Work Wednesday initiative.
